Facts.

An intrepid new hotel with the heart of a hostel, the Moxy reached out to +WeCreate to solve a true creative challenge. In the hotel’s core, across a small courtyard, guests could see directly into one another’s rooms. It was an audacious design and if it wasn’t activated effectively, guests could feel awkward. To create a distraction, Moxy asked us for a mural. We felt a conceptual art installation would be more effective.

Shifting from liability to asset.

When doing private things in their private spaces, no one likes to stand out. To alleviate the anxiety of being watched, we gave people something more compelling to look at. Through ridiculously playful scenes depicting the extremes of human play, our goals was to relieve any anxiety guests had about their own late night behavior. Also, we provided specialized signs for guests to communicate with potential friends across the newly created “Inner Circle.” The result: An upgraded experience for which the Moxy is able to upcharge.
